The Global Brain Health Coalition, formerly known as the Coalition for Concussion Treatment (#C4CT), was founded in 2012 with a mission to become the leading global voice for brain health awareness and empowerment by converging science, clinical research and impact. GBHC serves as a platform to spread awareness about brain health and fosters the critical discussions and partnerships needed to enhance research, treatment efforts, and prevention through a global campaign uniting people who are passionate about the cause.

Prior to Super Bowl XLIX, the Advisory Board met to establish the Coalition’s new name, Global Brain Health Coalition (GBHC), and the new mission, “To become the leading global voice for brain health awareness and empowerment by converging science, clinical research, and impact.” Since its inception, GBHC has proudly maintained an influential Board consisting of key opinion leaders, experts and policymakers to ensure the effectiveness and relevancy of the campaign.

Kara Williams, Co-Founder of Brain Treatment Foundation

Kara Williams is the co-founder of Brain Treatment Foundation, a 501(c)3 dedicated to the education, active rehabilitation and empowerment of Americans suffering from brain injuries.

Married to a Navy pilot for the last 14 years, Kara has spent much of that time working with wounded warriors and special needs children.
